How to Add Widgets

In this video, we will explore how to add widgets to the footer area of our site. Widgets are small blocks of content that can be placed into any widget area that is defined by your theme. Most theme enables you to add widgets to a sidebar down the right-hand side of a page.

In this video, you’ll learn how to add widgets to the sidebar, footer, or other widget-enabled areas in your site, using both the Appearance > Menus screen or the Customizer.

Widgets are small blocks of content that can be placed into any widget area defined by your theme. Most themes enable you to add widgets to the footer at the bottom of your site, and the sidebar, usually located on the right-hand side of a page.

There are over a dozen widgets included in WordPress by default that you can use to display any text you like, an audio player, add Custom HTML, display a photo gallery or an image, or even add a video.
